Network Administrator: Rosebank (D5)
My client in Rosebank is urgently seeking a Network Administrator with the following requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have matric with a relevant IT degree (not a diploma)
- Must have achieved above average results in matric and university
- Matric and university transcripts must be submitted with every CV
- Current and required salary must be submitted with every CV
Other Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Windows 2003/8, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Experienced working with server hardware (building servers, configuring RAID sets, installing servers in racks, etc.)
Duties:
- Provide assistance in the planning and implementation of office automation software solutions
- Investigate options of solutions for new equipment or internal software products requirements
- Provide assistance in testing new equipment and internal software products
- Implement and or coordinate system updates and replacement of 'old' versions
- Manage the intranet and its information
- Ensuring networks & servers are fully operational
- Monitoring Network and Server performance
- Capacity planning of server hardware and software
- Ensuring servers can be recovered in the event of failure
- Conforming networks to specification and best practice
- Prepare technical reports on the operation of systems
- Developing & maintaining network-support-related documentation
- Ensuring network defences (firewall & AV measures) are adequate & updated
- Liaising with relevant 3rd parties towards the resolution of technical issues
- User administration
- Network printer administration
- Administering Email & Web access
- Administering Anti-Virus Solutions
- Building & re-building of servers
- Monitoring of security events & ensuring compliance with Security Policy
- Providing support & technical advice
- Designing, implementing & supporting backup solutions
- Administrating & supporting Windows2003 and 2008 server
Salary:
R10 000 to R22 000 pm CTC
